Review of Stompernet Live 6

Wow – it has been such a whirlwind of an event where so there was so much to learn and absorb. The best part was meeting some awesome Stompers and I learnt as much from them as I did from the presentations. The confidential roundtables are hard to beat as well as the faculty are so free in sharing all the secret little tips.

Well it has been a lot of information and some great chats around the bar so far. Sunday morning was more like an extension of Saturday night as not much sleep was had. Sunday morning started off with Mike Koenigs of Traffic Geyser. He gave a killer presentation on how to use videos to kill your competition and you can’t help but succeed if you just take the steps as laid out. This was easily the best presentation I have heard at Stomper so far, so easy yet so powerful. On top of that Mike and his wife give back through their foundation. I did manage to speak to him one on one and I have to say, what a nice guy he is… got some strategies to take away from that too. All I can say is that if you are in the game for real, you need Traffic Geyser and not that freebie alternative. The new features are unbeatable and a little tip, there is a $1 trial and to get that, go to the page and then try to close the browser. You will get a little pop up that says do you want a trial for $1. It will be the best return on $1.

The most amusing thing of the weekend is David Bullock acting out how he got his 5 year old daughter to research a niche and start her own website and she is making money off that. That man is a riot! He should film that and sell it as a newbie product as I don’t think you can fail following that little strategy.

A short summary of the key takeaways from this:

You need Traffic Geyser to explode your business
Understand your competition
Test, Test and Test
Track the important stuff
Take massive action
It is not difficult

So not much that is mind blowing there as I am sure you have all heard that before.

Am totally inspired now and have a very long to do list to act on. Can’t wait for the next one.

Stompernet Live 6 conference – Day 3

Day 3 at Stompernet Live 6 looms. Am suffering from jet lag compounded with lack of sleep due to a late night at the bar. Last night, met lots of new people with some inspiring new stories. Also learnt some new PPC strategies on how to reduce adwords costs. Really cool.

Today we have Mike Koenigs of Traffic Geyser fame kicking off the days proceedings. Video marketing is where the action is right now so am looking forward to learning some new tips on using videos. It has only been 2 days but it feels much longer and the notebook is getting filled up with lots of action items and new business ideas. The to do list is getting really long.

Review of Day 2: Rich Schefren’s presentation was very thought provoking and we had to promise not to say anything about the content but it generated a lot of discussions. There was so much more great content today so can’t wait for today.

Stompernet Live 6 conference – Day 2

All the Stomper events are great fun. You meet lots of really smart people in the same business and can talk geek with you for the weekend!

Review of Day 1: met up with some old Stomper friends for a catch up and compare notes with what has been happening. At these weekends, it always ends up with late nights at the bar networking. Back to the content of Day 1, we talked about keyword research and new tools to do that, Howie sharing his strategies on how to use Web 2.0 and took away some really easy to implement ideas by Paul on how to double your business. Somethings you know but it just takes a little reminder to help you see the bigger strategic picture. Powerful stuff. I can see that a lot of todays contents are going to make a big difference to my traffic and bottom line in a very short time. Thrilled.

So Day 2 will kick off with Rich Schefren, followed by site reviews and several other roundtable sessions with the faculty and the day ends with Ben Mack the branding guru. Am looking forward to that last session as this is a dimension of the business that I have not paid much attention to and I am sure the impact could be quite substantial.

Ken McCarthy System Seminar

This was something I learnt about recently. It is not one of those superhyped Internet Seminars although it probably should be. I was watching and listening to the pre seminar interviews with the faculty of the Systems Seminar and they were giving away a lot of useful information. The faculty cover everything from how to structure you online business, how to drive traffic to your website, social marketing, SEO, Web 2.0 and lots more.

All the past participants all rave about this and I missed it this year. I am planning to be there next year. See for yourself what the hype is about – Introducing Ken McCarthy’s System Seminar.
